Integrated Interior Platform (IIP)

Our new Integrated Interior Plattform is an important step towards a Holistic  Human-Machine Interface. Functions that were limited either to the instrument cluster or to the head unit ,can now be used on both. Drivers can dynamically distribute content across multiple displays and place information right where they need to see it. It becomes possible to handle all input and output devices of the vehicle and even mobile devices using only one HMI Electronic Control Unit (ECU)

Instrument Clusters

Instrument Clusters ensure that the driver is comprehensively and reliably informed at all times. They provide basic driving information like speedometer, tachometer, temperature, fuel, telltales, warnings. Additional information is presented via display, e.g. radio,on-board computer, Internet, navigation, telephone, rear/front view camera and driver assistance systems Information.

Technical Information

  • Pointer: different illumination concepts and several pointer types, e.g. encapsulated ring pointer, disc pointer, 3D pointer; stepper motor with precise and smooth movement

Hybrid Instrument Cluster

To increase the value of traditional flat displays, for example of full digital instrument clusters, we  have combined the advantages of the digital and the analogue world. Our new Hybrid Instrument Cluster combines a three dimensional, tinted, glass-like surface with traditional analogue pointers and dials.

Display Solutions

With increasing traffic congestion and information density, there is a rising demand for new, more user-friendly displays that help reduce the complexity of information. Our solutions encompass displays and indicators in the instrument panel and  display solutions for rear-seat passengers. The driver can select the desired indicator content, such as the navigation system, radio, phone and apps.

Curved AMOLED Display

Head-up Displays

Information where you need it and when you need it. All important driving-related information is provided in  the driver’s direct field of vision. The Head-up Display (HUD) generates a virtual image via an optical system in a short distance in front of the windshield – as an overlay to the street , and  is visible to the driver only. 

With a head-up display the driver is consentrated on the road at all times and the time for reading information is reduced by 25% compared to a standard instrument cluster.

Combiner Head-up Display

This most compact example in the HUD series is closely related to the windshield-HUD, but requires less installation space. A small, transparent plastic disc called the “combiner” is used as a mirror for the information shown, instead of the windshield itself. Now the ergonomic advantages of HUD technology  become available in  smaller vehicle classes.
